About Jana Farms

The food at Jana Farms is inspired by and in honor of Jana Van Dyck.

Originally, this land was a commercial avocado grove, and we started by supplying our avocados to major California retailers like Walmart and Costco. This experience opened our eyes to the extensive supply chain process produce undergoes from field to plate, often taking months to reach a grocery store while traveling up to 1,500 miles.

During this time, the produce is held in a cold storage warehouse and sometimes misted with chemicals that slow the ripening process. When produce takes this long to reach consumers, both the nutrients and flavor are compromised.

Thus, an idea was born that shaped the future of Jana Farms: to provide the highest quality produce and deliver it directly to our local community.

We are rapidly expanding the collection of produce we grow to include Heirloom varieties renowned throughout the world for having the most delicious flavor and for being highly nutritious. While today's modern varieties are over hybridized (over bred) to ensure higher yields, they lack the flavor and nutritional value like those of the past.

At Jana Farms, we have scoured multitudes of seed catalogs and grown hundreds of varieties in order to find the most delicious and most nutritious produce in the world to share with you.

Our mission:

provide the highest quality produce and deliver it directly to our local community.

Jana Farms is committed to regenerative farming practices, growing better produce for your body and better for the planet.
